Public transport and taxis. 
 

 Xi'an has a good public transport system and from the school there are many options to go into the city centre (20 minutes) and the train station. Depending on the bus line, the average fare is 1 Yuan. You can also buy a bus pass. There is also a public bus service to go to the airport in the city center. The bus leaves every half an hour from the hotel in front of the Drum Tower. On their arrival, foreign teachers are picked up at the airport by a member of staff. Students can also choose to have the optional airport pickup service. If you don’t like riding the bus, taxis are a good alternative. It’s cheap (from school to the city centre approximately 10 Yuan) and you get to practice your Chinese with the taxi driver!!!! You can get to most of the popular places around the city by taxi for around 1.5 Euro (15 RMB).
